Every tier — including Free — runs the same rules engine, the same real-time multiplayer sync, and the same live hot-reload rule editing. Credits only meter the AI work that costs real money to run: rules generation, planning chat, and AI-generated art.

What credits pay for

Credits are Ludira's way of keeping AI use fair without a separate price tag on every button. Simple actions cost a little; heavier generation costs more. For scale: Free's 25 credits/mo covers a handful of AI rule-generations, or a longer planning-chat session to shape your game's design — plenty of room to try the workflow. Uploading and auto-cropping your own art is never metered by credits, on any tier.

Rollover, without unlimited hoarding

On Creator and Pro, unused credits carry over month to month, up to double your plan's monthly amount banked at once. That lets you bank up before a big push, but it doesn't turn into an endless stockpile. Free credits don't roll over — they just reset each month.

What's a credit?

A credit is a small unit that meters AI work inside Ludira. Rules generation, planning chat, and AI art each cost a different number of credits, because they cost different amounts to actually run.

What happens if I run out of credits?

Everything else keeps working — playtests, multiplayer sync, live rule editing, and uploaded art all stay available. AI actions wait until your credits reset next month or you move to a tier with more of them.

Do unused credits roll over?

On Creator and Pro, yes — up to double your plan's monthly amount banked at once. Free credits don't roll over; they simply reset every month.

Can I cancel anytime?

That's the plan: monthly billing, no long-term contract, cancel and you won't be charged again. Monthly only for now — there's no annual plan. (This describes how billing will work once checkout goes live; nothing charges you today.)

Is there a free tier, really?

Yes. Free includes the full rules engine, multiplayer sessions, live hot-reload editing, and free uploaded-art auto-crop up to its soft cap. It just doesn't include AI-generated art — that's the one thing too costly to give away.

Do my playtesters need paid accounts?

No. Players joining and playing a game are always free, and they don't need an account just to help you playtest.

Can I use my own art instead of AI art?

Yes. Uploading your own art and having Ludira auto-crop and recognize it is free on every tier — unmetered on Creator and Pro, soft-capped at 50/mo on Free.
