0. What's actually live today
As stated in Terms §0, Ludira is in open beta: no paid subscription or checkout is live yet, and no real payment has ever been processed. This page describes how cancellation and refunds are intended to work once billing genuinely goes live, so it's linked and visible before that happens — not because anyone can subscribe or request a refund today. Once billing is live, this section will be replaced with a normal version history.
1. The short version
Plain-language summary, for anyone who doesn't want to read the rest:
- You can cancel anytime. Cancelling stops future billing — you won't be charged again — and you keep the paid access you already paid for through the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds are handled by Paddle, our payment processor and merchant of record — Paddle is legally the seller of your subscription, not Rekurzija DOOEL, so refunds, failed payments, and payment disputes run through Paddle under Paddle's own Buyer Terms, linked at checkout.
- Ordinary cancellation or downgrade never locks or deletes anything you've already built — see §4. (Suspension or termination for cause is a separate case, covered by Terms §9, not by this page.)
- Who to contact: legal@ludira.io for anything about this policy; for the payment itself, use the receipt Paddle emails you or Paddle's own support — see §3.
2. Cancellation
This section summarizes Terms §3.2 — if anything here ever reads differently, §3.2 controls.
- How to cancel. Once account and billing management is live, cancelling will be a self-serve action from your account/billing settings. Until that UI ships, or if you need help, email legal@ludira.io.
- Billing cadence. Paid plans (Creator, Pro) are billed monthly, in advance, through Paddle. There is currently no annual plan.
- What cancelling does. Cancelling stops future billing — you won't be charged again — and you keep paid access through the end of the period you already paid for, subject to any proration rules Paddle applies under its own Buyer Terms.
- Downgrading (moving from Pro to Creator, or to Free) is intended to work the same way — access continues rather than being clawed back mid-period — though Terms §3.2 doesn't separately spell out downgrade timing, so treat this as our stated intent rather than a distinct contractual guarantee.
3. Refunds
This section restates Terms §1 and §3.2: when you subscribe to a paid Ludira plan, your purchase contract is with Paddle, not with Rekurzija DOOEL. Paddle is our payment processor and merchant of record, meaning Paddle is legally the seller to you for that transaction — Paddle invoices you, collects and remits applicable sales tax/VAT, and is the party responsible for billing, receipts, refunds, and payment disputes or chargebacks. Depending on where you're purchasing from, the contracting Paddle entity is Paddle.com Market Limited (England & Wales, for most of the world), Paddle.com Inc. (for US buyers), or Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd (for Canadian buyers).
What this means in practice:
- Refund requests, failed-payment issues, and payment-method disputes or chargebacks are handled by Paddle under Paddle's own Buyer Terms, which are linked at checkout once checkout is live. We don't duplicate Paddle's Buyer Terms here, and they — not this page — control anything about the mechanics of the payment transaction itself.
- How to actually request a refund: use the link in the payment receipt Paddle emails you after checkout, or contact Paddle's support directly. Paddle administers the refund decision for the payment transaction under its own policy; we're glad to help investigate a product or service issue and pass what we find to Paddle, but we don't independently approve or deny the payment-side decision.
- We don't currently state a specific guaranteed refund window (for example, a fixed number of days) beyond what Paddle's Buyer Terms themselves provide, because doing so here risks contradicting whatever Paddle's Buyer Terms actually say at the time of your purchase. If you're a consumer in the EU, mandatory consumer-protection law in your country — including any statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases — applies regardless of anything on this page, per Terms §10; Paddle's checkout and Buyer Terms are built to account for that. Nothing here overrides a right you have under applicable law.
4. Credits and access on cancellation or downgrade
This section restates Terms §3.3 exactly: nothing existing is ever locked or forcibly deleted on an ordinary downgrade or cancellation — the only enforcement is on creating something new. (This is distinct from suspension or termination for cause under Terms §9, which is a separate case.)
- Credits. Rollover is only available on Creator and Pro, capped at 2× the plan's monthly allowance. Downgrading to Free doesn't forcibly forfeit a banked balance — Credits are self-limiting by nature (you simply can't spend what you don't have), so no separate lock or deletion mechanic is needed; your balance just stops being topped up at the higher rate.
- Private projects and project count. Public/private visibility is not plan-gated — a Free-plan project can be private, same as a paid one. The actual free/paid boundary is project count: an account without an active paid Subscription can hold at most 1 project. Downgrading below Creator/Pro while holding 2+ projects doesn't lock or delete the extra ones — you keep full access to everything you already have; you just can't create a new project until you're back under the limit.
